COVID-19: Virtual Office Hours for Healthcare Workers
This one (1) hour session will address DC's three phased approach to COVID-19 Vaccine distribution and administration, planning updates, vaccine allocations, and District priorities. It will also cover the pandemic provider enrollment process, provider assessment of readiness, and building vaccinator capacity within your facility or organization.
This one (1) hour session will address vaccine ordering including initial orders by DC Health, the two types of vaccines, and the ancillary kits and in dry ice that will accompany vaccine shipments. It will also cover topics such as storage and handling of the two types of vaccine, and policies that will ensure facility compliance with COVID-19 Vaccine and DC Health vaccine guidelines.
This one (1) hour session will go in depth into instructions for vaccine administration, vaccine safety, building vaccine confidence among provider form and patients, second dose reminders, and staff training recommendations. It will also cover details about vaccine reporting, including VAERS, V-Safe (for patients), second dose reminders, required reporting to CDC, and the role of DC Health's new Immunization Information System (IIS) in the reporting process.
DOCIIS Training
This two (2) hour session will provide users with instructor-led and hands-on experience with the District of Columbia Immunization Information System (DOCIIS). Each session will cover DOCIIS access, record retrieval and assessment, generating reports and accessing printable forms.
This five (5) hour session for MEDICAL Provider form AND STAFF will provide up-to-date information on the rapidly changing field of immunization. Each session will include topics that will address current immunization updates, storage and handling as well as vaccine scheduling, administration, and documentation. You only need to attend one of the sessions. A Certificate of Attendance will be awarded to participants who complete the four hour training.
This training introduces provider form to the DC DOH Vaccines for Children Program. This two hour course is designed to introduce new provider form to the DC DOH Immunization Program’s policies and processes. It also serves as a refresher course for existing provider form. Each session will cover an overview of the DC Immunization Program; its objectives, policies and how the program collaborates with its provider form to achieve an effectively immunized population. Each session will also provide hands-on practice on using the Immunization Program’s reporting, monitoring and accountability systems (DOCIIS and Quickbase).
