The Board shall regulate the practice of advanced practice registered nursing, practice of registered nursing, practice of practical nursing, practice by nursing assistive personnel, practice of nursing home administration, practice of assisted living administration, and practice of home health care administration.

The Board shall recommend for promulgation by the Mayor curricula and standards required for the approval of nursing education programs in the District of Columbia. At a minimum, the Board shall require that nursing schools and nursing programs be accredited by a Board-recognized national nursing accrediting agency. The Board shall also recommend to the Mayor rules governing the procedures for withdrawing approval of nursing education programs and training programs for nursing assistive personnel.
Professional members must have a minimum of three years' experience in practicing their health occupation and be licensed to practice in the District of Columbia.

Consumer members must:
1) Be at least 18 years old
2) Not be a health professional or in training to become a health professional
3) Not have a household member who is a health professional or is in training to become a health professional
4) Not own, operate, or be employed in or have a household member who owns, operates, or is employed in a business which has as its primary purpose the sale of goods or services to health professionals or health-care facilities
The Board  shall consist of 13 members, as follows:

- 4 registered nurses
- 2 practical nurses
- 1 nursing home administrator, assisted living administrator, or home health care administrator
- 1 nursing assistive personnel 
- 3 members licensed, registered, or certified under this Board (registered nurses, advanced practice registered nurses, practical nurses, or nursing assistive personnel)
- 2 consumer members

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quickbase often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quickbase finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quickbase needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistencies—in this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.
