During this unprecedented time, our health care professionals must have the supports they need to be able to focus on their jobs and
maintain the capacity of hospitals and primary care providers.
Mayor Bowser and the Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) have launched a special initiative to support the child care needs of our health care workforce. In partnership with licensed child care and out-of-school time providers along with the DC Hospital Association and DC Primary Care Association, we are standing up emergency child care facilities across the city to help ensure health care professionals have access to safe and affordable child care as we work together in response to coronavirus (COVID-19).
Children aged 6 weeks to 12 years without serious medical conditions such as severe asthma, chronic lung disease, heart disease, immunocompromise, and primary immunodeficiency are eligible to participate.
If you are a health care professional, please complete the form on the next page, and our child care resource and referral partner, DC Child Care Connections, will be in touch with you shortly to help you find a seat that meets your needs. The information you share will only be used to connect you with child care, and your information will be kept confidential.
Please note: The Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) is collecting the information in this form to offer emergency care for the children of DC’s health care professionals. This information will be shared with DC Child Care Connections and the licensed child care providers partnering with OSSE under the Emergency Child Care Initiative for Health Care Professionals only for the purposes of helping you find child care. Your information will otherwise be kept confidential. By proceeding, you give your consent for OSSE to share your information for this sole purpose.
