Adopt the Clean Air Interstate Rule (CAIR) EPA developed the CAIR regulations to reduce emissions from power plants and help reduce interstate transport of air pollution. DDOE is working to adopt the CAIR regulations in the District. DDOE is also working with other states to provide data to EPA to revise and strengthen the CAIR regulations. Adoption of CAIR regulations will result in steep and sustained reductions in air pollution and significant health benefits for surrounding areas. Capture Trash at Combined Sewer Overflow In 2001, WASA installed a netting system at combined sewer overflow (CSO) 018 on the Anacostia River to collect trash that would otherwise go to the Anacostia River. Clean Stormwater Catch Basins WASA will increase catch basin cleanouts by purchasing machinery, hiring more staff, and developing a catch basin cleanout plan and schedule. Completion of first LEED Silver school-Phelps High School OPEFM reopened, Phelps High School in August 2008 with enough green features to qualify the building for LEED Silver certification. Construct truck wash and brine manufacturing facilities DDOT will construct the truck wash/brine manufacturing facilities to reduce pollution to District waterways from vehicles and road salt. Washing trucks used to to deliver rock salt in the winter results in a salty water that is detrimental to local fresh water ecosystems. Coordinate Electricity and Renewable Electricity Purchases District Government electric customers aggregate or group their accounts to obtain lower electricity supply rates. The DC Municipal Aggregation Program has resulted in two successful contracts for the District Government, in 2004 a 24-month contract saved $5.4 million included a 5% renewable energy requirement. In 2006, the District contracted for 36 months, saving $30 million over tariff with including a 10% renewable energy requirement. Participants included OPM and independent agencies including the University of the District of Columbia, The Walter E. When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quickbase often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quickbase finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quickbase needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistencies—in this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.
