TRANSPORTATION

Welcome! Did you know DOEE offers various transportation options to help you get around town to conduct DC Government business?

DOEE Fleet
Consists of (43) forty-three vehicles that are exclusive to DOEE employees. The vehicles have been procured within the various DOEE departments and are managed by Fleet Liaisons selected by the management team within those departments. Most of the vehicles can be reserved through the DOEE Vehicle Reservation database. Please check with your fleet liaison for the reservation process for the vehicles within your department. All DOEE vehicles must be parked in DOEE Reserved spaces located on the P2 & P3 levels of the garage. Support Services Division has portable battery jumpers at workstations 757F and 312 O. For emergency assistance with vehicle issues, such as jump-start, flat tire, tow, etc., contact DPW’s Fleet Management Administration (FMA) Customer Service at (202)541-3700.

To obtain driving privileges for D.C. Government vehicles, visit start.dc.gov, scroll to the ERisk section at the bottom and select the “Driver Authorization” link. This process must be repeated annually with a copy of your current driver’s license attached.

To report an incident/accident, visit start.dc.gov, scroll to the ERisk section at the bottom and select the “Incident Reporting” link. Any incidents involving D.C. Government vehicles must be documented in ERisk. If another vehicle or person(s) is involved, the police must be called to the scene. The police report will be accepted as additional documentation if the matter is litigated.

Check with your management team to find out if your department has SmarTrip cards available for use for transportation to/from meetings and/or trainings.

Vehicle Leasing
DPW offers vehicle leasing, short-term and long term, as well as leasing large capacity vehicles, such as a bus or van. To lease a vehicle, you must have funding information in order. If parking is needed for your leased vehicle, you must include those expenses with your funding. Gas expenses must be anticipated as well. Large capacity vehicle leasing requires at least 2-weeks notice.

To initiate vehicle leasing, reach out to Angela Johnson (Angela.Johnson7@dc.gov) at DPW Fleet Management Administration. You must also alert Kimberley Brown (Kimberley.brown@dc.gov) the agency Fleet Coordinator, of any intentions to lease vehicles, short-term or long-term.
